The drought may be over. The recovery isn't.

For years, South Australian farming families have carried the enormous financial and emotional strain of drought.

Rotary has stood beside them — visiting hundreds of farms, delivering fodder to feed their livestock, providing practical assistance and, most importantly, reminding rural families that they are not facing this alone.

Now we want to give them something different ...

A DAY TO SMILE AGAIN

On Sunday 2 May 2027, Rotary Pioneer Adventure Day 2 will bring farming and rural township families together at Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village for a day away from the farm, the business, the bills, the pressures and the everyday worries.

• A day to relax
• A day for the kids to have fun  
• A day to share a meal, enjoy some entertainment  
• A day to talk with others and reconnect  
• A day to remind our rural families that South Australia cares

By sponsoring a family, you can help us provide a No Strings Attached Day that includes:

FREE ENTRY
Giving farming and rural families the opportunity to enjoy Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village together.

FREE FOOD & ENTERTAINMENT
A chance to sit down, enjoy a meal, laugh and simply have a good time.

FREE HEALTH CHECKS
Bringing basic health checks directly to farmers who may live a long way from regular health services.

ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES
Creating a day that children, parents and grandparents can enjoy together.

And, where sponsorship funding allows, we aim to provide fuel assistance to help families make the journey to Old Tailem Town and home again.
