Down the North Western end of Old Tailem Town, the FAT FARMERS Health Hub truck supported the Adelaide University Rosemary Bryant Skin Cancer Clinic; alongside the Flinders University Heart Health test team; across from BreastScreen SA's mobile clinic.
As well as skin checks, blood pressure monitoring, sugar level assessments, mammogram screenings, a range of general and heart health checks were provided. All of the health professionals had a busy day, particularly the skin check team.
These FREE health services helped so many isolated farmers to access health care that was able to identify problem conditions before they got out of hand. Six farmers were found to serious issues that have fortunately been identified before it is too late and a number of others have benefited from early warnings. RESULT!
