The Spinners and Weavers Guild has been active for some 40 years and in that time has built its own Guild Hall on Jose Street, Murray Bridge. Its community activities include demonstrations at shows, event and residential aged care facilities.

Members meet at the hall for two sessions on Wednesdays: 10am to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm. They often conduct workshops at the hall, run small workshops for children at the library during school holidays and will visit schools to share their skills.

They regularly sell their creations at community events such as Murray Bridge's annual Seventh Street Markets. On the first weekend of August this year, members will have a display at the SALA Exhibition in Jervois Town Hall. Then on Thursday 8th October, they'll have a display and sale at Top of the Torrens Gallery, Birdwood.

The Guild will host an Open House on Sunday April 26th. All groups who use the hall, including basketry, lacemaking, quilting and felting groups will participate. Entry will be by gold coin donation, there'll be demonstrations, sales and raffles, plus Devonshire teas and soup for sale. All welcome.
